Demon’s Souls To Shut Down Online Services In Japan On February 28

Sony Interactive Japan Asia announced they’re shutting down online services for Demon’s Souls this February, nine years after the release of the FromSoftware action game on PlayStation 3.

 

Here are the functions that will no longer be available as of February 28, 2018:

  • Online multiplayer (co-op and invasions)
  • Hint message writing and reading
  • Bloodstains from other players (death replay)
  • Wandering Phantom
  • Rankings

 

Demon’s Souls released in Japan on February 2009. It followed with a North American release on October 2009 and in Europe in June 2010 for PlayStation 3.
