Along with this announcement, the official V-Jump YouTube channel posted an 18-minute video showing the two new characters in action.

The following two Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles updates do not yet have release windows. Each will also add two additional playable demon characters to the game, for a total of six. The Hinokami Chronicles includes a story mode that closely follows the events of the anime series, while a separate battle mode allows players to fight as different characters from the series.

Last week, it was announced that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles had already sold over 1 million copies worldwide. This includes physical and digital versions of the game, which launched on October 14, 2021 in Japan and October 15, 2021 worldwide.

The Demon Slayer anime series is available to watch on a number of streaming services, including Crunchyroll and Funimation. The Mugen Train story arc began on October 10, 2021, while the Entertainment District arc is scheduled to premiere on December 5, 2021 with a one-hour special episode.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is now available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. The game’s first free update will be released on November 4, 2021.
