Previously, VIZ Media made the first volume of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba available to download for free. However, this was a limited time offer that extended until May 23, 2021. In February 2021, it was announced the series sold over 150 million copies worldwide. However, the success of the series extends beyond the manga.

On May 24, 2021 it was announced Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen TrainĀ made 51.7 billion yen, about $477 million, globally. It was also the first Japanese film to have ever grossed over 40 billion yen domestically. It grossed over $44 million within North America during its time in theaters. The movie continued to break box office records while in cinema, eventually unseating Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away as the largest grossing film in Japan.

Demon Slayer art book will release sometime in 2023. VIZ Media also localized the manga. The anime is out on Crunchyroll.
