The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series is getting two new games, one for PS4 and one for mobile. We got a first look at the games with scans from the latest issue of V-Jump. [Thanks, @DBHypeX.]
First, here’s a scan for Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan for PS4:
The scan gives us a first look with three in-game shots that show protagonist Tanjiro Kamado. The magazine doesn’t provide further gameplay details. The information shared mostly provided tidbits about Demon Slayer, asking whether Tanjiro will save his sister Nezuko and make her return back to her human self.
There was initial confusion about the game possibly being a Musou-style game due to the description that calls it an “action game in which you’ll defeat assaulting demons one after the other”. However, they’re basically just saying that the game will feature a bunch of Demons for Tanjiro to beat. So far it looks like it’ll be more focused on the action part of things.
The second scan gives us a glimpse of the mobile title Demon Slayer: Keppu Kengeki Royal. The magazine says to wait for the next issue for more details. So far we know that the game is an asymmetric battle survival action game that has teams of Demon Slayer Corps and Demons.
Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan will release for the PS4 in 2021. Demon Slayer: Keppu Kengeki Royal will release for iOS and Android devices in Japan in 2020. You can visit the official website here.
