As part of the Undertale sixth anniversary stream, the Deltarune Chapter 2 release date came up. On September 17, 2021 at 5pm PT/8pm ET, the next part of the game will appear. Creator Toby Fox also confirmed this on Twitter. The stream reveal directed people to the official Deltarune website.

Deltarune is Toby Fox’s follow-up RPG that appeared after Undertale. Deltarune Chapter 1 first appeared in October 2018 on PCs. It is free to download and play. In February 2019, the Nintendo Switch and PS4 ports were announced and Fox confirmed that Deltarune Chapter 2 and other parts were on the way.
The last Deltarune progress update appeared in September 2020. That’s when Fox confirmed the second chapter entered its second development phase. More people were also going to be hired to help work on the project at the time as well.
This is the second announcement to appear on Undertale‘s sixth anniversary. The first came from Good Smile Company. It noted that it would be working on Nendoroids of Sans and Papyrus, the skeleton characters who featured prominently in Fox’s first game. There’s no release date for either of those figures yet.
Deltarune Chapter 2 will appear on September 17, 2021.
