Death Note: Killer Within Is an Online-Only Multiplayer Game

Earlier in October 2024, ratings showed up for a Death Note game from Bandai Namco, and now Steam product page is live for the online-only multiplayer game Death Note: Killer Within. The Bandai Namco and Grounding title will launch on November 5, 2024, and we’ll see it on the PS4, PS5, and PC.

Death Note: Killer Within will be a game like Among Us and Werewolf, in which there are actually two teams competing. Up to 10 people can take part. If you are working alongside L, your goal is to get the Death Note away from Kira and expose their agents. In the case of Kira members, they need to wipe out L and get the Death Note. If a Kira agent finds the Death Note, they can select a target and condition to eliminate them. Incidents can be reported, testimony can be collected, and at meetings people can vote for which character they think is Kira.

Here’s a trailer, showing off gameplay for the title. The perspective almost makes it look like Light and L are supposed to be playing a game on the board with players as pieces.

Here are the first screenshots, which show some of the cosmetics available in the game.

A board game based on the series is also headed to Japan. That will also be a Werewolf style game.

Death Note: Killer Within will launch on November 5, 2024, and the game will be playable online on the PS4, PS5, and PC with cross-play.
