Capcom announced it is bringing back Dead Rising again, this time with Frank West returning in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. It is expected to release in 2024, though platforms aren’t confirmed yet.
For those unfamiliar with the beat’em up game, Dead Rising involves journalist Frank West heading to a Colorado mall to find out why the military locked everything down. He quickly finds out it’s because of a zombie outbreak. He needs to survive while finding out what’s going on and potentially saving survivors. Depending on your actions, there are multiple endings to earn.
Here’s the first trailer Capcom shared. It sets the stage by showing Frank in the helicopter approaching the mall, then being dropped in to carry out his investigation over the course of three days.
The original Dead Rising appeared multiple times following its August 2006 debut on the Xbox 360. A Wii version appeared three years later. Then in 2016, remasters showed up again for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is in development and will launch in 2024. There are no product pages or websites live for it just yet, however the official social media account for the series is now active and open again.
