PC players will get to try the new Artorias of the Abyss content in Dark Souls first. It’s part of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, which Namco Bandai will release on Steam and as a boxed Games for Windows Live title on August 24.
The Artorias of the Abyss DLC won’t be available until this winter, says Namco Bandai, and will cost $14.99 as a PlayStation Network download or 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15) on Xbox Live. From Software will release Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss Edition for PS3, which includes the additional DLC on October 25. The DLC pack is slated for release on the same day.
Artorias of the Abyss, one of the four knights of Gwyn, is at the center of the story.
You can learn an additional Dark Magic that chases an object with darkness where white light from pairs of eye sockets twinkles.
A possessed tree is one of the new enemies in the Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss pack. Fire type attacks like pyromancies can ignite the scarecrow-like monster’s wooden body.
Another fight pits players against a chained prisoner tied to a pillar. Instead of removing the chain restraining his body, the prisoner tears the pillar off. Yeah, this creature looks like one of Dark Souls’ fearsome foes.
This warrior is running out of the Sanctuary Wood for his life, but those stone knights armed with giant stone axes aren’t far behind.
The Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss pack includes a battle royale where four players can fight in an arena. For PvP fans, there are also one on one and two vs. two modes.
