Danganronpa Sales Surpass 5 Million Units Worldwide

Spike Chunsoft announced the total sales for the Danganronpa series have surpassed 5 million units worldwide. The official Twitter account revealed this information, thanking consumers for their support of the series. Additionally, Spike Chunsoft has announced plans to expand the Danganronpa series after hitting this sales milestone. This includes games in various other genres.

The official website details that roughly 3 million units sold came from the PC versions of the game. Additionally, it notes the popularity of the series among its international audience. The total number of five million in sales comes from all four games within the Danganronpa series. Downloads of the PC versions of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair have surpassed 1 million units individually.

A special 10th anniversary broadcast will be held in November 2021. There will be a total of two performances, each including a handful of special guests, as well as live performances of music from the series. The list of special guests includes voice actors from the series.

Spike Chunsoft will also release a collection of Danganronpa games for the Nintendo Switch. Danganronpa Decadence will release in December 2021. It is a compilation of several games. It will include Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp and Danganronpa V3.
