Danganronpa: Another Episode is an action adventure game that takes place between the first two games of the series. In addition to a different style of gameplay, the game also has a few other new features, according to this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine.

While the first two Danganronpa games had unique cut-scenes that were mainly used to portray the deaths of characters, this time in Another Episode, they will have fully animated event scenes, for the first time in the series.

Additionally, Japanese blog Zaregoto reports that the game introduces two new types of Monokuma. The first is called Shirokuma, an all-white Monokuma that resides in the secret base of the Resistance, and seems to be some sort of idol-like character.

The all-black one, named Kurokuma, is some sort of consultant for the villainous kids, the Warriors of Hope. Kurokuma also seems to specialize in “machine-gun talk” a Japanese term used for those who can speak very fast.

Character designer and illustrator Rui Komatsuzaki, who is in charge of the event scenes for the upcoming game, will talk more about his work in this week’s issue of Famitsu.

Danganronpa: Another Episode will be released in Japan on September 25, 2014 for PlayStation Vita.
