Being a third person shooter, Danganronpa: Another Episode is a departure from the two murder mystery games in the series. Spike Chunsoft considered the genre change and created three difficulty modes for the game. Genocide Mode (all the way on the left) is designed for players who aren’t used to action games or just want to enjoy the story.
Famitsu reports if you select Genocide Mode and you can almost always call the invincible Genocide Jill to cut through the Monokuma army. Trouble Mode is the middle difficulty level with more Truth Bullets than Despair Mode. The developers actually recommend playing Danganronpa: Another Episode in Despair Mode, the hardest difficulty setting.
As revealed earlier Makoto Naegi, Byakuya Togami, and from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Nagito Komaeda are all confirmed to be in Danganronpa: Another Episode.
Danganronpa: Another Episode comes out on September 25 in Japan.
