Danganronpa: Another Episode takes place between the first two Danganronpa games, but seeing Makoto Naegi’s sister as the protagonist might be confusing after having played the first game. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine gives us a little more insight on the upcoming game. (Thanks, Hokanko-Alt.)

Makoto Naegi’s sister Komaru stars alongside Toko Fukawa, in Danganronpa: Another Episode. Komaru ran away from Monokuma who was assaulting her (perhaps from what we saw in the “clip” in the first game,) but it looks like she’ll be back in action against the menacing bear.

For the most part of the game, you’ll play as Komaru, who uses a megaphone-like hacking gun to fight off the many Monokuma clones. According to the magazine report, when Fukawa does “this and that,” the game switches off to her becoming a playable character.

In addition to having other few characters from the first two Danganronpa games, there’s also a group of kids called the Monokuma Kids who go around wearing Monokuma masks while murdering adults. They seem to have different roles of Hero, Warrior, Priest, Sage, and Mage.

For the most part, you’ll still fight Monokumas as the main enemies, and there are about ten different types of them, this time around.

Danganronpa: Another Episode is currently in development for PlayStation Vita. NIS America will bring Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair to the West in September.
