CD Projekt Red updated the Cyberpunk 2077 update roadmap. While a number of elements, such as things like free DLC and a next-gen update, were originally supposed to appear sometime in 2021, that’s no longer represented. The new image only shows patches in 2021. Everything else is shown after 2022.
Here’s the updated Cyberpunk 2077 update roadmap. Prior to 2021, the 1.04-1.06 hotfixes appear. Then, between 2021 and 2022, patches 1.1-1.31 and hotfixes 1.11 and 1.22 showed up. Finally, Q1 2021 is highlighted as a free next-gen update window. There is also a bad noting that the free DLC and additional patches will appear.
This comes after multiple issues and problems following the game’s launch. It debuted in such a state that it was removed from the PlayStation Store. Microsoft also offered refunds. It would only eventually return to the PlayStation Store in June 2021. That was six months after it ended up removed in the first place.
It also came out that Cyberpunk 2077 ended up made under crunch conditions. At one point, CD Projekt Red made six-day work weeks mandatory during its development.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available both digitally and physically for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, though in the cases of next gen it is backwards compatible due to the upgrade not being available yet. It is also out on the PC and Google Stadia.
