Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty features new side content for players to complete, including the “New Person, Same Old Mistakes” quest. This quest is actually part of a quest line following the first side gig of “Waiting for Dodger.” In this mission, you once again help out Bill the police officer with a problem of his.

Note: Full spoilers lie ahead for this side gig.

To unlock the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty “New Person, Same Old Mistakes” mission, you have to first complete “Waiting for Dodger” and then wait or sleep a bit. After a time, Bill will contact you again with a new quest. Bill wants you to check out the new business he’s opened up in Glen after the previous mission.

If you need to know where to go, here’s the map:

Here’s everything you need to do for this side gig:

  1. Head to Glen. The best way to reach this section is to use the Ventura & Skyline blue fast travel point, which is in the Heywood district of Night City. Note this location is outside of the DLC’s new Dogtown area.
  2. There is an abandoned garage building marked by the quest. You can find Bill inside of his garage.
  3. Talk to Bill to find out he has retired from his police officer duties and is now selling hot dogs.
  4. Better yet, he will send you some money for saving his life in the previous mission.
  5. That will complete the mission and you are free to go now.

To be clear, this mission is one of the shortest in the game. It is mainly there as an epilogue for the previous quest. That said, it has a secret. You can now buy hot dogs from Bill as well as the powerful new item Military Grade Lactic Acid Recyclers. You can only get one of these for $12,000, which is quite a lot, but it boosts your overall stamina regeneration rate by 2% forever.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
