Studio MDHR announced via Twitter that the Cuphead DLC release date has been delayed. The developers cited complications due to COVID-19 and stated they team will uphold its standards of high quality. Titled The Delicious Last Course, the add-on will now release sometime in 2021.
This isn’t the first delay for the Cuphead DLC release date. Studio MDHR originally intended to release the expansion back in 2019, which was later pushed back to 2020. Fans will have to wait just a bit longer for the conclusion of Cuphead and Mugman’s adventures. Studio MDHR said in an official statement that it intends to put everything it learned into the maintaining the quality of The Delicious Last Course. Players are surely in for a sweet treat.
In the wake of the ongoing global pandemic affecting so many, we have made the difficult decision to push back the release of The Delicious Last Course. For our wonderful Cuphead community, we’ve prepared a letter from Studio MDHR founders Chad & Jared Moldenhauer to share more. pic.twitter.com/XiU57Wcn1y

The 2D run-and-gun shooter made a big splash when it released back in 2017. The game was praised for its rubber-hose style of animation, tight controls, and boss designs. The visuals have been so iconic that Netflix has picked up the rights to an animated series based on the game. Though we’ll have to wait for a new Cuphead DLC release date, at least there will be some Arby’s toys to hold us over.
Cuphead is available now for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Delicious Last Course DLC will release sometime in 2021.
