Offline viewing will be supported in the Switch version of the Crunchyroll application. On it and other devices, people who subscribe to the Mega or Ultimate Fan plans can download anime to watch when not connected to the internet.
This is the second anime streaming app available on the console. Back in December 2020, a Funimation app appeared on the Nintendo Switch. (Sony owns both services.) People can also download apps for both Hulu and YouTube on the console.
Crunchyroll is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch. A one month plan is $7.99 for the Fan option, $9.99 for the Mega Fan one, and $14.99 for the Ultimate Fan subscription.
