Capcom has announced that Crunchyroll will be streaming the new Ace Attorney anime series as new episodes are released in Japan. The first episode appeared on April 2, 2016 and is available now, and subsequent episodes will appear every Saturday morning.

You must be a Crunchyroll member to watch the full episodes of the Ace Attorney anime. Those who aren’t are limited to two minute sample clips.

The Ace Attorney anime is in Japanese with English subtitles. That means the standard subtitles use the Japanese names for characters. (Phoenix Wright is Naruhodo Ryuichi, Miles Edgeworth is Mitsurugi Reiji, Maya Fey is Ayasato Mayoi, and so on.) However, Crunchyroll is testing an alternate subtitle track on the web that uses the English character names. To use it, you must right click on the video and choose “alt track.”

The first episode of the Ace Attorney anime covers the first case in the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney game. Phoenix’s best friend, Larry Butz, has been accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend, Cindy Stone, and Phoenix must clear his name.
