Published by Modus Games and developed by Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK, Cris Tales is a game inspired by classic JRPGs and built around a core time-traveling element that drives both combat and story. During the PC Gaming Show, it was announced that Cris Tales will be coming this year, releasing on November 17, 2020. It will also be coming to next-gen platforms at a later date.

Cris Tales follows a heroine who is able to manipulate time, and see the world around her in both the past and future in addition to the present. During combat you can move enemies to their own past or future, which will impact both the enemies’ attributes as well as how your party’s own abilities function. Outside of combat, the player will be able to complete side quests and alter other parts of the story with limited interactions with the past and future.

A demo is available on both Steam and GoG, which has been available for some time. However, with this news the demo has been updated with new content, so even if you’ve played it before you may want to go check it out again.

Cris Tales will arrive on November 17, 2020 on the Nintendo Switch, the PC, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. It will also come out for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.

To get on his good side, say nice things about Dragon Quest and Musou. Never mention the Devil May Cry reboot in his presence. Backed Bloodstained on Kickstarter but all his opinions on it are correct regardless.
