We’ve known for a while that a Crash Bandicoot mobile game was in the works. Details about the title from Activision’s King division first started to show up back in February 2020, and the endless runner even appeared as Crash Bandicoot Mobile in some regions. A wider release has been announced, and it has a new name to celebrate: Crash Bandicoot: On the Run.
At the moment, the new flurry of announcements consists of confirmations that this game will be worldwide thing. The Google Play product page’s name has been changed, for example, and pre-registration has opened for Android devices. (Apple iOS pre-orders aren’t open yet, but the press release confirmed that will be happening soon.) There is also a new trailer.
That announcement trailer also confirms a pre-registration reward. People will be able to get different skins for characters. Should folks sign up for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run ahead of launch, they’ll get the Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled Blue Hyena Skin for Crash.
You can see the the hype-building trailer, which features very little actual in-game footage, below.
A release window has not yet been set for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. It will be available on both Android and Apple iOS devices.
