Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, the endless runner and Crash Bandicoot mobile game that’s been lurking about since around February 2020, finally has a release window. However, even though people in some places were already playing it around April 2020 and pre-registration opened back in July 2020, it turns out the official launch won’t happen until Spring 2021.
King and Activision didn’t explain the reasons for the timeline. However, the announcement did confirm that now the pre-registration period applies to both Android and Apple iOS users. It also noted that Dr. Neo Cortex’s The Lab level will appear in the game and Fake Crash will show up in the game. However, it seems Fake Crash will only appear as a foe alongside other bosses like Cortex and Nina.
Here’s the latest Crash Bandicoot: On the Run trailer. It mostly focuses on gameplay, though we do get to see a little bit of The Lab and at the end the character models for Fake Crash, Cortex, and Nina appear.
There have honestly been quite a few Crash Bandicoot mobile games released over the years. The first ones appeared back in 2004 and were Crash Nitro Kart and Crash Twinsanity. But since then, a number of action games and kart racers appeared.
