The new Crash Bandicoot game has been officially dated and revealed at Summer Game Fest 2020, following multiple leaks. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which is technically the eighth game in the series, will arrive on October 2, 2020. Toys for Bob has been working on a game it is creating as a successor to the Naughty Dog installments in the series.
In Crash Bandicoot 4, Crash and Coco have to reunite the four Quantum Masks, like the Time Mask and Gravity Mask, to help seal up a hole exposing the multiverse. Dr. Neo Cortex, N. Tropy, and Uka Uka have escaped their timeless prison and created the rift. The initial trailer, which you can watch below, shows off playable Crash, Coco, and Cortex. (Crash and Coco share a moveset, while Cortex has his own sorts of skills and abilities. Cortex’s levels are built specifically around his skills.)
At the end of the trailer, a purchase bonus was shared. Should someone go for a digital copy of Crash Bandicoot 4, they will have different costumes for Crash and Coco. They are Totally Tubular Skins. Each one is a 1990s-inspired outfit for the two main characters.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will appear on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on October 2, 2020.
