Netflix released the official trailer for the upcoming live-action Cowboy Bebop series. Backed with original series composer Yoko Kanno’s soundtrack, the trailer introduces some of the series’ most iconic characters including Spike, Jet, Faye, and even Ein. It also gives glimpses of villains such as Mad Pierrot and what looks to be Teddy Bomber.
Compared to the previously released teaser trailer, the official trailer provides the premise for Cowboy Bebop. Starting with Spike and Jet’s partnership, the trailer also shows how Faye became a member of the Bebop crew. Interspersed between scenes are shots of some notable fights with key antagonists from the series. Many of the characters look to be fairly faithful adaptations of their anime counterparts.
Additionally, Netflix has released several stills of scenes not included in the official trailer. These include photos of a bare-chested Vicious, flying Mad Pierrot, and the Solensans. Many fans have pointed out that Edward is noticeably absent from the official trailer. To this, the Netflix Geeked Twitter account responded with a cryptic “tune in on November 19 to find out.”
Here are some of the aforementioned stills:
