To celebrate the release of Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion, MAGES has launched a special ghost story project titled Ghost Story Tellers’ Banquet Talk Party. These ghost stories are available on the newly launched MAGES Horror Channel on YouTube, with more horror content and collaborations planned for the future. Scheduled broadcasts of the Ghost Story Tellers’ Banquet Talk Party will air every Monday starting September 30, 2024.

The event features seven renowned ghost storytellers, such as Toshiyuki Tanaka and Yasuhiro Hayase, who share chilling tales based on real events. Each ghost story is inspired by themes relevant to Corpse Party II, including hospitals and the feeling of being unable to escape.
In related news, Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion was previewed at Anime Expo 2024, showcasing its shift from the series’ traditional top-down style to a third-person perspective. Players control Haruka as she navigates a haunted hospital. The new 3D models and environments add a more mature, terrifying feel, though some issues with navigation and interaction were noted.Ā
Corpse Party 2: Darkness Distortion is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC in Fall 2024, with the exact date yet to be announced.
