Here is Barone’s confirmation, where he elaborates further on how these endeavors will possibly connect to Stardew Valley.

However, Barone himself later urged people to temper their expectations about his future work. He said his goal was to make things that he enjoys creating and hopes people will enjoy playing.

The last major Stardew Valley update arrived in December 2019. It added a new romantic event for spouses, an additional map, more customization items, and a new subplot.

Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, mobile devices, and Tesla vehicles. Over 10 million copies have been sold.
