An advertisement video promoting orange juice from the Gottwald & Alstreim Farm in the Code Geass universe appeared on the series’ official YouTube channel on the 2024 April Fools’ Day. Sunrise revealed on the following day that it will actually produce and sell the branded juice in real life. The studio will also open temporary pop-up stores that sell the juice bottles along with other Code Geass merchandise.
Here is the trailer that Sunrise originally uploaded on April 1, 2024. The studio later updated the video’s title and description on April 2, 2024, to confirm that it will actually sell the orange juice.
Sunrise will work with Shiraito to open online orders for the branded orange juice on April 6, 2024. The companies will also open two temporary pop-up stores at Sunrise World Tokyo and BiVi Nijo Kyoto on April 6-14, 2024.
A juice bottle will cost 3,000 yen (~$20), and it will come with a bonus acrylic stand. The buyer will be able to choose a stand based on Jeremiah, Anya, Lelouch, or C.C.
This orange juice product is inspired by Jeremiah Gottwald, a major Code Geass character who received the popular nickname “Orange” due to his orange-colored eyes. The primary reference came from the epilogue of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, where Jeremiah ended up working with Anya Alstreim to run an orange farm.
The Code Geass-inspired Gottwald & Alstreim Farm Orange Juice will be available for sale in Japan on April 6, 2024.
