While Genshin Impact has a tentative 2020 release window, some people will get a chance to play it sooner than others. At least, a sample of it. MiHoYo has announced a closed Genshin Impact beta test. People with PCs and mobile devices will be eligible to participate in the trial, which will be held in the first quarter of 2020.
Genshin Impact beta test sign ups are being held on the official website. (A big yellow button is right there on the main page.) Once you sign in either by making an account or using your Facebook account, you are taken to a Recruitment Survey. It asks things like which region you are in, the year you were born, if you are employed, on which devices you have recently played games, and what kinds of game genres you enjoy. Make sure you set aside some time, because it could take about ten minutes to complete. 20 of the people who sign up for the beta will also receive a prize.
Genshin Impact is an open-world RPG that has gameplay and a world that may call to mind games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The player becomes The Traveler, a person who gets the opportunity to go around its world meeting different people and assisting them on missions.
Genshin Impact will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices in 2020. The closed beta will be held for PCs and mobile devices in the first part of 2020.
