Clive Rosfield’s FFXVI Sword Displayed at Tower of London

Ahead of the release of Final Fantasy XVI on June 22, 2023, Square Enix created a replica of the sword used by protagonist Clive Rosfield. It will be on display at the Tower of London in England. The sword is called Invictus and will be on display at the Royal Armories’ collection of swords and armor in the White Tower from June 20, 2023 through July 19, 2023.

Final Fantasy XVI is the next installment in the long-running series. The sword Invictus is one of the weapons wielded by Clive Rosfield as he sets out on a quest for revenge. A demo is immediately available for people to test out. As a reminder, its theme song is composed and performed by Kenshi Yonezu, who you might know as the artist behind some of the opening themes in for My Hero Academia and Chainsaw Man.

With sites in London, Leeds and Hampshire, the Royal Armories house the UK’s collection of historical weapons and armor, including the National Collection of Firearms. They frequently hold events such as combat demonstrations and exhibitions. The Tower of London itself is managed by Historic Royal Palaces and is the home of the British Crown Jewels, as well as being where historical figures such as William Wallace, Guy Fawkes, and the Kray Twins were once imprisoned.

Final Fantasy XVI is scheduled to release on June 22, 2023 for Playstation 5. A PC port is confirmed, but not dated. The replica of Clive Rosfield’s sword Invictus will be available for viewing at the Tower of London from June 20, 2023 until July 19, 2023.
