A trailer for The Witcher 4 appeared during The Game Awards 2024 livestream, showcasing Ciri as the protagonist of the new game. CD Projekt Red is once again developing, but no release date has been announced as of yet.
The trailer is a cinematic affair the shows a woman being prepared for sacrifice in a remote village, before a Witcher steps in to interrupt the affairs. Revealed to be Ciri, she goes on to slay a multi-limbed monster (possibly a Kikimora) using blade and magic, as well as a kind of chain-dart that she then heats with a spell. However, while Ciri succeeds, this isn’t exactly a win for her. The trailer fades out at the end while promising more information at the official website for the series, where a post confirms Ciri will be the protagonist of “a new saga”
