The Ciel nosurge DX and Ar nosurge DX remasters won’t feature touch screen support for some features from the PS Vita versions of both titles. Instead, players will use controllers for functions previously handled by touch screen. So that means the remasters won’t support the touch screen for Switch or PS4’s touchpad, according to a few details from this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Between the two titles, Ciel nosurge has more uses for the touch screen, as players use it to tap command icons and communicate with Ion. It is also used to move the camera by swiping across the screen. By doing so, you can communicate with Ion and search for items to synthesize.
On the other hand, Ar nosurge didn’t originally have touch screen support, but Gust added the function with Ar nosurge Plus for PS Vita after fan demand. In Ar nosurge, the touch function is only used to interact with girls by poking them during the “Purification Ceremony” bathing scenes. Ar nosurge Plus also added three additional characters for the Purification Ceremony, each with 50 different event scenes for a total of 150 new scenes for the handheld version.
Ciel nosurge DX and Ar nosurge DX will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Japan on January 28, 2021.
