Chrono Orchestra Performance And Albums Featuring Chrono Trigger And Chrono Cross Music Heading To Japan

Square Enix has announced new tributes to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross on Twitter. Chrono Orchestra will allow people to pick up CDs with orchestral arrangements of songs from both games on September 7, 2019. An additional tweet said concerts with the songs will be held in Japan on September 7, 2019 in Osaka and October 27, 2019 in Tokyo.

 

The Chrono Orchestra Arrangement Box offers songs supervised by Yasunori Mitsuda, who originally composed and produced the Chrono series’ songs. People could pick up Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement or Chrono Cross Orchestral Arrangement for 3,300円 (~$31) each. Each one has eight songs. The full 8,000円 (~$74) box includes both of those CDs and an exclusive additional one with four extra songs. Its official website is now open.

The Chrono Orchestra website is also open and offers some information on the performances. The two Osaka concerts will be performed by the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra at Osaka International Congress Center. They will be held at 12:30pm JST and 5pm JST on September 7, 2019. The Tokyo concert will be performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra at Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall on October 27, 2019. Its noon and night performances will also be held at 12:30pm JST and 5pm JST. Mitsuda will appear. The Chrono Seat ticket option, which is 13,800円 (~$128), comes with a set of two music boxes. These have Kid and Marle on them.

Chrono Trigger is available on the SNES, PlayStation, Nintendo DS, PC, and mobile devices. Chrono Cross is available on the PlayStation, as well as on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation Vita as a PSOne Classic.
