Chrono Cross is getting its own Original Soundtrack Revival Disc this August following Chrono Trigger’s that releases next month. Square Enix shared some samples in a new trailer for the OST Revival Disc featuring music by Yasunori Mitsuda.
Similar to the other Revival Discs, the Chrono Cross OST Revival invites fans to relive memories through in-game scene videos along with music from the game, all on a Blu-ray disc. This album in particular has music that Yasunori Mitsuda re-recorded from the PlayStation and mastered from scratch, so the sound is much better than the original soundtrack version.
It also includes the MP3 files of the music tracks so you can listen to it on other devices, and a full-colored booklet with notes from Yasunori Mitsuda for you to check out. It has 67 tracks and is going for 5,000 yen plus tax in Japan. It is currently available for pre-order in North America for $49.99 at the Square Enix Store.
Chrono Cross Original Soundtrack Revival Disc releases on August 7, 2019.
Chrono Cross first released for the PlayStation in Japan in November 1999. The game has since then been re-released for the PlayStation Network as a PSONe Classic title for PS3, PS Vita, and PSP.
