Cho Aniki Zero And GungHo’s Sprite RPG, Mimana Iyar Chronicles, Muscling Overseas

Thanks to Aksys, it’s going to rain GungHo games next year. They extended their partnership beyond Hero’s Saga Laevatein Tactics by picking up Cho Aniki Zero and Mimana Iyar Chronicles.

Mimana Iyar Chronicles is a traditional RPG with a story from ex Lunar and Tales of Destiny 2 staff. Frank “Bo” deWindt II, Associate Producer at Aksys, adds “With your ladies by your side on your epic quest to save the world, no one can stand in your way!” Not even rock monsters? Mimana Iyar Chronicles will be released on UMD and as a PlayStation Network download next spring. And, if you haven’t seen it before here’s a trailer from the Japanese version.

Cho Aniki Zero aka Rei Cho Aniki in Japan is a prequel to the manly shooter series. It’s a 2.5D side scrolling shooter with irreverent and sometimes bizarre humor. Before Aksys announced it, we checked out the Japanese version and posted impressions. The North American release will only be available on the PlayStation Store and like Mimana it’s slated for spring 2010.
