Sega shared the first gameplay footage of the upcoming Yakuza 6 demo that comes available with Yakuza Kiwami, during a recent “Sega-Nama” NicoNico Live stream. [Thanks, Gematsu.]
During the live stream, it was revealed that everything from maps to events will connect seamlessly. They’re also adding some extra motion detail, for example, on what parts you hit with attacks, and so on. The friendly fire shown in the battle scenes is something that is currently being adjusted, and the enemy movements will look better as they continue on with the development.
According to Yakuza series creator and general director Toshihiro Nagoshi, the game’s development is about 70% complete, and it’ll keep getting better and better from here. He also added that there will be some surprising cast members, other than Beat Takeshi.
Yakuza 6 will release in Japan in fall 2016 for PlayStation 4. The demo will be available with Yakuza Kiwami when it releases in Japan on January 28, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
