PlatinumGames released a short trailer for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, which will launch later this year on May 19, 2020 in North America, May 22, 2020 in Europe, and June 11, 2020 in Japan. It shows off exactly how the game has changed.
Check out the trailer below:
The trailer shows off the upgraded visuals that are the main focus of this port and also introduces several of the lead Wonderful Ones who you’ll get to meet and know over the adventure. It also shows off how the Wonderful 101 can Unite Up and form different objects in order to complete the task at hand. At one point, you can see how the tank section (originally designed for the two screens of the Wii U) is changed to fit on one screen, with the isometrical view overlaid on the right side of the first-person view. There are also other ways you can choose to have the screen overlaid for Wii U-designed puzzles.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered was revealed to the world as one of PlatinumGames’ four upcoming projects. The game’s porting Kickstarter campaign ran from early February to March 2020. While the main game itself is largely untouched, some extra stuff was unlocked via stretch goals like Luka’s First Mission, Luka’s Second Mission, and orchestral arrangements of “The Won-stoppable 100” and “Tables Turn”.
The Wonderful 101 Remastered will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC on May 19, 2020 in North America, May 22, 2020 in Europe, and June 11, 2020 in Japan.
