Characters Can Drink Mayonnaise in Stardew Valley 1.6

Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone announced that the 1.6 Stardew Valley patch will give people the ability to drink mayonnaise. The announcement didn’t offer any further announcements on the affect this will have on the game.

Here’s the official patch note line reveal regarding mayonnaise. It didn’t note how much energy a player might get for drinking the condiment. Until now, most forms of it had been unable to be eaten, with Void Mayonnaise being the only exception. (It would sap away energy if ingested.)

Ahead of this announcement, mayonnaise was already a popular and notorious item in Stardew Valley. This is because it is liked by almost all villagers in the game and doesn’t take much effort to get, making it an ideal gift. All you need is a Mayonnaise Machine, which you can start making at Farming level 2 with a Copper Bar, Earth Crystal, 15 pieces of Stone, and 15 pieces of Wood, and an egg of any kind. The only people who will be upset about getting it folks like Sam, Sebastian, Caroline, and the kids Jas and Vincent.

Concerned Ape has been sharing multiple details about the update ahead of its debut. For example, we know old save files will still be safe. Also, after getting married, your new partner will not stay in bed all day due to not feeling up to activities for a week.

Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PCs, mobile devices, and the PlayStation Vita. The 1.6 update will launch for PCs on March 19, 2024.
