Here’s an initial teaser trailer showing off the cast in-character.

Here are the actors and actresses who will be in the Chainsaw Man stage play:

  • Aki Hayakawa: Mizuki Umetsu
  • Chainsaw Man: Masahide Tada, Yutaka Nakasone
  • Denji: Naotake Tsuchiya
  • Himeno: Minami Tsukui
  • Hirokazu Arai: Kou Kanegae
  • Kishibe: Masashi Taniguchi
  • Kobeni Higashiyama: Haruki Iwata
  • Makima: Aya Hirano
  • Pochita: Shiori Izawa (Voice performance)
  • Power: Mahiru Kaida
  • Samurai Sword: Shoma Yoshioka
  • Sideburns Man: Ore no Graffiti

The Aya Hirano playing Makima is the same Aya Hirano as the voice actress. Aside from her breakout role as Haruhi in The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Hirano is also known for portraying Lucy in Fairy Tail, Dende in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and Misa in Death Note. She started pivoting to live-action performances around 2010 due to death threats for her past controversies whenever she appears in an anime. Some of her live performances include Eponine in Les Miserables and Madoka Chishiro in Wave, Listen to Me!.

The Chainsaw Man stage play looks like it will end where the anime did based on the cast list. The anime mostly covered up to the end of the Katana Man Arc and will pick up again from the Bomb Girl Arc.

Tickets for the Chainsaw Man stage play will be available from August 19, 2023. It will air in Tokyo and Kyoto.
