Shonen Jump and Chainsaw Man editor Shihei Lin announced the one-shot via their personal Twitter account. While details are still scarce, the upcoming manga will be a lengthy 200 pages, Fujimoto’s longest one-shot so far. The official Chainsaw Man Twitter account also announced the one-shot, stating that it would be available on the Shonen Jump Plus website and app.

Fujimoto is widely known for being the creator of the Chainsaw Man series, which will receive an anime adaptation produced by MAPPA later this year. The second part of the manga series will also start in early Summer 2022. Back in July 2021, the artist released a one-shot manga titled Look Back for free on Shonen Jump Plus. The one-shot became a viral hit on Japanese social media and garnered over 2.5 million views in a single day, breaking previous site records.

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s untitled one-shot manga will release on April 11, 2022. It’s unclear whether the upcoming one-shot will be available in English. However, it’s worth noting that Look Back received a simultaneous English release via Viz Media and Manga Plus.
