The new game from the creators of Celeste will be Earthblade. Extremely OK Games shared the game’s logo, key art poster, and a song as what it called a “vibe reveal.” It will be a “2D explor-action game,” a term that some could perhaps have applied to Celeste as well. The company listed its release window as 20XX.
Here is the Twitter reveal, which included a snippet from a song by Lena Raine. Raine previously worked on songs for Celeste, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

Here is the Earthblade poster by Pedro Medeiros. In addition to working on this new game from the Celeste creator, Medeiros worked on past Extremely OK Games titles like Towerfall and Celeste and MiniBoss’ Out There Somewhere.
Maddy Thorson also offered a little insight into what led up to Earthblade’s development. To be specific, the update noted, “It took us 4 prototypes to find Earthblade.”
Earthblade is in development for unspecified platforms. The current expected release window for the title is “20XX.”
