Capcom Fighting Evolution and Capcom vs. SNK 2 are available for download on the PlayStation Network in Japan as PS2 Classics, but are nowhere to be seen in the west. In light of this, a user on Capcom’s forums recently asked if there are plans for the games to be released on the North American PlayStation Store.

The good news is, the two games are coming. Capcom’s Senior Vice-President, Christian Svensson, replied: “Eventually. The timing will be quite different though from Japan. More news will come ‘next year’.”

If you follow Capcom’s fighting games, you’re likely familiar with Yoshinori Ono, who’s been the face of the publisher’s fighting games push this entire console generation. Capcom Fighting Evolution was the first major Capcom fighter that Ono worked on as a producer.
