During the second day of the Capcom Highlights broadcasts, a new Street Fighter 6 trailer showcasing the upcoming Akuma DLC character appeared. The new trailer showcased Akuma’s brand-new design in SF6 and showed a glimpse at his Gokuento fighting stage.
Players will be able to visit Akuma on his Gokuento stage in the World Tour game mode once the DLC character appears on Street Fighter 6 on Spring 2024. The inclusion of the character will also bring new missions to the game. Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama shared that the development team used Buddha statues and animals as references for his musculature and appearance in the latest entry.

Capcom reminded players of the current Mega Man Gala Fighting Pass available on Street Fighter 6. The company also shared that it is currently planning new downloadable Year 2 content for SF6. As a reminder, Ed is the third Street Fighter 6 DLC character in the Year 1 season pass and the latest one to release. The character appeared on February 27, 2024.
Street Fighter 6 is immediately available for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Akuma will appear as a DLC character sometime in Spring 2024.
