Capcom Platinum Titles Updates, Includes Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom has updated its Platinum Titles list. The list now includes numbers mentioned in a financial report concerning titles like Resident Evil Village, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and Monster Hunter Rise. The titles on the list reflect sales as of March 31, 2022. As it stands, multiple new titles have appeared in the top ten of the Capcom Platinum Titles list, these being Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

While Capcom had reported successful sales numbers for both titles, the list had not been updated to reflect their overall ranking. However, there is now a clearer picture as to where both titles stand concerning total worldwide sales. The top ten games in Capcom’s Platinum Titles list as of March 31, 2022, are as a follows:

  1. Monster Hunter: World – 18 million units
  2. Resident Evil 7 – 10.8 million units
  3. Resident Evil 2 (Remake) – 9.6 million units
  4. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne – 9.2 million units
  5. Monster Hunter Rise – 9 million units
  6. Resident Evil 5 – 8.2 million units
  7. Resident Evil 6 – 8.2 million units
  8. Street Fighter II – 6.3 million units
  9. Street Fighter V – 6.2 million units
  10. Resident Evil Village – 6.1 million units

In October 2021, Capcom announced that sales for Monster Hunter Rise had surpassed 7.5 million units worldwide. This had effectively made it Capcom’s best-selling single-platform title, outperforming the previous holder Street Fighter II.
