Capcom Gradually Reveals Monster Hunter Sanrio Crossover Characters

Capcom is gradually revealing Sanrio characters and the flagship monsters from its own Monster Hunter series that will be a part of the crossover collection. The first two pairs confirmed in this collaboration are Pochacco with the Monster Hunter Portable 3rd flagship monster Zinogre and Hangyodon with Monster Hunter 3‘s Lagiacrus.

Capcom first announced the Sanrio Monster Hunter characters collaboration on July 10, 2024. However, the first reveal only showed the logo. The following day on the 11th, the company published another tweet that showed two silhouettes.

On July 12, 2024, Capcom published a new tweet that revealed the previous silhouettes to be Pochacco with a Zinogre wear and Hangyodon with a Lagiacrus hoodie. It also shared two new silhouettes in the same tweet. It appears that the company will gradually reveal the crossovers on a daily basis.

Capcom will collaborate with Sanrio to produce merchandise themed after these pairs to help celebrate the Monster Hunter series’ 20th anniversary. The company is also working on crossovers with many other franchises, such as Takara Tomy’s Zoids.

The Monster Hunter – Sanrio crossovers are being gradually revealed on the former’s Japanese official X account. After revealing all pairs, Capcom and Sanrio will produce and sell merchandise themed after them.
