While Hideaki Itsuno has been busy working on titles such as Dragon’s Dogma and Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, he still hasn’t forgotten about some of his earlier works with Capcom, like Rival Schools, which he briefly talked about during the NicoNico Chokaigi 2015 even this weekend. Famitsu reports on parts from the event.

During a special Capcom booth event, several developers talked about their recent works during a NicoNico Live, where they had to answer questions written on cards.

One of the questions asked “what kind of [game] would you like to make someday?” and Itsuno responded with “I’d like to make a new fighting game,” and he also took notice of a NicoNico Live user asking “please make a sequel for Rival Schools!”

Upon noticing the comment, Itsuno answered, “I’ve already thought of a new story, so please send your requests to Capcom!”

While there hasn’t been any word on a new Rival School in ages, Itsuno, who co-directed Rival Schools: United by Fate, back on the PlayStation in the late ‘90s, still seems to have the series in mind while working on various other Capcom titles.
