The latest Eerie Season is now available in Infinity Nikki with the release of Update 1.3. However, not everything is rainbows and sunshines with the release of this latest season. There is an unfortunate and rampant verifying resources bug that is happening in Infinity Nikki that you might need to fix to play.
Infinity Nikki Verifying Resources bug, explained
The important part about the verifying resources bug is that it seems to be only be happening to those of us playing on the PS5 at this time. Thankfully, it does appear that mobile players and PC users are immune to this problem for now. However, that could change in the future with any new updates that happen.
The bug comes about after players download the new update on PS5 and install it. When you open up the game itself and get to the main menu, it will install more updates. This is pretty typical. The final step of this process is for the game to verify the resources you downloaded so you can hop online. Unfortunately, it is here that the game freezes at 100% and doesn’t complete.
How do I fix the PS5 Verifying Resources Bug in Infinity Nikki?
Because the verifying resources bug on PS5 in Infinity Nikki happens just as you are about to finish the download, this effectively means PS5 users affected by this are unable to play the game right now. I know this myself because I also dealt with this issue as a PS5 player. This has nothing to do with maintenance, either, but with the update itself.
Don’t bother uninstalling and reinstalling the game. This is a waste of time. From what I can tell, the update will verify resources, but it takes some time and effort. What I recommend is waiting up to 10 minutes and, if it doesn’t complete, then close the game and open it up again. This will require you to redownload those 3GB files in-game once again.
Repeat the process of waiting for about 10 minutes and then closing the game and starting over. Most players have gotten it in no more than four tries of this. Hopefully, there is a true fix soon for PS5 users, but in the meantime, this is your best bet.
