CalorieMate Liquid for Game Creators Makes Players into Cans

Otsuka Pharmaceutical announced a new game that acts as an ad for CalorieMate called CalorieMate Liquid for Game Creators. It is “coming soon” to Steam and turns players into a can of CalorieMate Liquid Fruit Mix trying to reach a “creator.” The product page also said Adobe Stock AI-generated images are used for in-game textures.

There’s no trailer for CalorieMate Liquid for Game Creators yet, but the screenshots offer an idea of how it will work. Players control the can and need to get it to the person before it gets warm. In the upper right corner, you can track the temperature in Celsius before it becomes “no good.” Along the way, hazards like cats, household items, and video game characters brought to life appear.

It isn’t uncommon for these sorts of game advertisements to appear. For example, one of the more famous icons also based on a drink is Pepsiman, which inspired spin-offs like Vitamin Girl. Burger King also sold the Xbox games Big Bumpin, Pocketbike Racer, and Sneak King.

CalorieMate Liquid for Game Creators is in development for PCs via Steam.
