Caladrius Probably Is The First Shooter With Clothing Damage

Moss, the makers of Raiden, are taking a cue from Senran Kagura with Caladrius. The upcoming Xbox 360 shooter with music from Basicscape and artwork from Devil Survivor character designer Suzuhito Yasuda has (sigh) clothing damage. During boss fights, you can shoot do a bashful break if you fulfill certain conditions. This changes the boss character’s graphic and shows a cut-in break animation.

 

Alex, Maria, and Kei take damage during bullet hell battles too. If the Caladrius heroes take too much damage their clothes will get torn up too. Why do clothes get torn when everyone is inside a mech? We have no idea.

 

Caladrius has a gallery with various revealing images for players to unlock. The Xbox 360 game is slated for release on April 25 in Japan. So far, Caladrius has not been announced for the West. Will costume damage affect it’s shot at being localized?
