Bravely Second’s newest job, the Chariot, is quite the weapon master, as it allows characters to use just about each weapon in the game. Series producer Tomoya Asano and other staff members shared more details and a look at the Chariot during a recent livestream.
Skip forward to the 29:00 mark of the video, where we get to first see Yu in his Chariot form. Similar to Cu Chulainn, the Asterisk Holder of the Chariot job, characters will also have the appearance of carrying several weapons on their back.
They also show Edea, Magnolia, and Tiz in their Charior forms as well. As previously mentioned, the Chariot job is a damage-dealer, and they can use all weapon types in the game. What makes them even more unique, is how they can equip a weapon on their head slot.
At the 31:05 mark, the developers show us a look at the Chariot job in battle. They have an ability that does more damage for the more HP they have, along with other familiar moves like “Throw”.
This is possible when using their “Triple Wield” ability. As you might be able to see in the video, all of their default weapon ratings are at rank C, but they have a special ability that increases their weapon rating after each attack, making them become stronger after each hit.
While the Throw ability is powerful, it can be pretty costly. For example, if you use the “Throw All” ability against four monsters, and you want to use it four times each, you’ll need to make sure you have 16 of the same weapon in your inventory; however, you won’t need to worry about losing the weapon, as they’ll return to you later, or you can get them back right away with “Weapon Recovery”.
Bravely Second is slated for release in Japan on April 23, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
