Bravely Default HD Remaster Has Original Voice Acting, Skip Feature

During the Nintendo Switch 2 Day 2 Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation, new details about Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster came up regarding cutscenes, specifically the voice acting we’ll here and if we can skip them. All the original voice actors’ lines from the 3DS release will be used. We’ll also be able to skip these story segments if we’d like.

This came up early in the gameplay showcase as footage of the Temple of Wind segment appears. We got to hear Tiz start to speak. That’s when it was confirmed the original voice acting from the 3DS version of Bravely Default will be present in the HD Remaster on the Switch.

It’s also at that point that the Bravely Default HD Remaster Switch 2 cutscene autoplay and skip functionality came up. When the scene started, autoplay was in effect. This can be stopped, or the skip effect can start. During this presentation, the 2x skip option was shown. The Treehouse members mentioned that this can allow someone to see a quick summary of what happened and avoid the actual longer story scenes. Also, while skip is in effect, you won’t hear any of the voice acting.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. It also appeared on the Nintendo 3DS.
