Brainstorm Zhongli Builds With His New Genshin Impact Trailer

After a rough start that involved miHoYo sharing, then pulling, the Genshin Impact Collected Miscellany Zhongli trailer, it’s now 100% available. These videos act as focused looks at characters’ movesets and possible uses in-game. Basically, watching it might help someone start thinking of Zhongli builds or how they could use him in a party.

Zhongli’s video begins with Dainsleif talking briefly about him as a person and showing him with Childe, before moving on to describe him as a Geo warrior who can offer shields. He is good at crafting, with the passive Exploration Talent Arcanum of Crystal allowing him use fewer ores when you have him forge a spear.

It then moves onto his attacks. Rain of Stone, his normal attack, can trigger up to a six-hit combo. If you have him charge it, he’ll use stamina to charge with his equipped spear out and with other Geo spears dropping behind him over a line. The Dominus Lapidis summons up a Geo monolith that deals damage to enemies around it continually, acts as a small shield, helps create shields with elemental reactions, and can be climbed to reach areas or get out of range. Charging Dominus Lapidis gives Zhongli Jade Shield, which protects against attacks and deals damage to enemies around them. It can also take down Geo armor enemies have up. Finally, there’s the Elemental Burst Planet Befall.  This inflicts the petrification status effect on enemies in front of Zhongli and damages them.

Here’s the Genshin Impact Zhongli: Dominance of Earth Collected Miscellany video. After seeing all he can do, it might get you thinking about polearms and accessories that would help maximize his attack, defense, and elemental damage for potential Zhongli builds.

Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices, and it won the Google Play User’s Best Game award in Japan. A Nintendo Switch port is in development. The Zhongli banner will appear on December 1, 2020.
