Blue Reflection Ray is an anime based on Koei Tecmoā€™s video game, Blue Reflection. The game is about a team of magical girls known as Reflectors who help other characters deal with emotional struggles. The anime follows suit and its two protagonists, Hiori and Ruka, will gain the ability to transform into Reflectors. A recently released trailer depicts the transformation sequence.

Blue Reflection Ray stars Fruit Basketā€™s Manaka Iwami and Yona of the Dawnā€™s Haruka Chisuga in the respective roles of Hiori and Ruka. Risako Yoshida, who worked on Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? and The Irregular at Magic High School, is the director.

The Funimation stream will be simulcast in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, and Brazil alongside the Japanese broadcast. The original Blue Reflection is available on PlayStation 4 and PC. A PlayStation Vita version is also available in Japan.
